Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge 2009 June 11-15, 2009. The Tall Ships Fleet races from Vigo, Spain, to Halifax, Northern Ireland, with a stop in Hamilton Harbour from June 11-15.

July

Somers' Day July 28 observes the discovery of Bermuda by Sir George Somers in 1609. Includes tour of the Sea Venture wreck, Commemoration at Gates’ Bay, official opening of the St. George’s Foundation Heritage Centre and Celebration Party in the Town Square,

Cup Match Cricket Festival July 30-31, 2009. The two-day cricket match between East and West End cricket clubs, an annual favorite, is concurrent with both Emancipation Day (commemoration of the 1834 freeing of Bermuda's slaves) on August 1 at the Botanical Gardens. and

PGA Grand Slam of Golf October 19-21, 2009. Some of the world's top golfers compete in the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, the season-ending showcase featuring golf's premier foursome. Although returning to Bermuda for the third time, this is the first time the high-stakes tournament plays the Port Royal Golf Course, newly renovated.
