Tall Ships Visit Bermuda in June

The Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge 2009 from Vigo, Spain, to the U.S. includes a second leg race from Tenerife in the Canary Islands to Bermuda. The second leg begins May 18, with the first ships expected to arrive in Bermuda around June 1.

The full armada of 30-50 ships will be docked in Hamilton Harbor from June 11-15th for the Bermuda Tall Ships Festival. Their June 15 departure features a memorable Parade of Sails as the boats pass in revue.

The Bermuda Tall Ship Festival not only is one of the biggest tourist events celebrating Bermuda’s 400th Anniversary, it is one of the most colorful.

The ships sail on to two U.S. ports after leaving Bermuda.
