Escape to Jost Van Dyke
Tortola Day Sail

Mountainous
Jost Van Dyke, just a few minutes boat ride from Tortola and one of the most popualr destiantions for day sails, is known for its outstanding white sand beaches and beach bars.

The north of Tortola's West End marina, the 4-mile long by 3-mile wide island was first settled by Jost Van Dyke, reputeddly a reformed Dutch pirate.

With fewer than 200 residents, Jost Van Dyke is still largely undeveloped. Its Main Street is only a sandy pathway flanked with small cafes that specialize in freshly baked banana bread and coconut muffins.

The island's few modest hotel accommodations cater mostly to the yachting crowd.

Foxy's, one of the most famous bars in the British Virgin Islands, is located on Main Street at Great Harbour, where most boats anchor.
