Time: 45 minutes each way. Difficulty: 2-3, in the dry season. Trailhead: The village of La Roche on the east coast.

To reach Victoria Falls, you'll hike a dry riverbed through a steep-sided canyon, but flash flooding is potentially greater here than at Sari Sari Falls.

This is another hike not recommended during the rainy season because of the danger of flash flooding.

Remember, it can be dry on the coast while torrential rains pelt the interior. Use a guide to find the easiest route over the big boulders.
