Rosalie Bay Resort
In Wondrous Isolation

On Dominica's Southeast coast, near the banks of the Rosalie River and fronting the Caribbean coast, the 22-acre Rosalie Bay Resort is bringing real green to the Caribbean's only deforested island.

The resort, able to accommodate 28 guests in 9 buildings, is in a wonderfully isolated location yet much closer to the hiking and signature waterfalls located in Morne Trois Piton National Park.

The fruition of 10 years of planning--the land initially was purchased to prevent the building of a concrete plant--the resort is intended for adults over 30 interested in soft adventures like Victoria, Sari Sari and Trafalgar Falls, Ti Tou Gorge, Syndicate Rain Forest, Emerald Pool, horseback riding, aerial tram and a tour of the Carib Territory.

It’s also possible to hike to the Valley of Desolation and the Boiling Lake, though that can hardly be called soft adventure (see description).

All excursions are offered daily.

Rosalie River is in the upper right, the capital of Roseau well to the left and perhaps off the map. Play with the map to find it all.
