Residency

A marriage license takes about 2 working days to process. If one partner resides in Anguilla for at least 15 days before the marriage date, the license cost is US$40. For shorter stays, the license cost is $284.

Required Documents

a) Proof of citizenship such as passport or original birth certificate accompanied by an official photo ID, such as a driver's license.

b) In the event of the death of a previous spouse or a divorce, a copy of the divorce or death certificate.

c) 2 witnesses are required.

d) To marry in Anguilla, contact the Minister and the Magistrate at 264-497-2377 or 264-497-3477.

e) Numerous religious dominations are present on Anguilla. For a religious ceremony, check with the appropriate denomination.

f) A Roman Catholic ceremony requires 3-6 months advance notice, conformation papers, baptismal certificate, freedom to marry papers and proof of pre-marital counseling.
