Shopping Hours

Shops in the malls and shopping centers are open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some stores are open on Sundays and holidays when cruise ships are in port.

Stores on the main streets are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Some small stores close for lunch between noon and 2 p.m.

Shopping Suggestions

The hollow tubes filled with seeds known as “rain makers” brought over from South America , along with walking canes and drums. Dutch chocolates really do melt in your mouth.

The stores stock every imaginable type of Delft Blue china, particularly porcelain figures and figurines. The huge wheels of Gouda and Edam cheeses store perfectly in cruise ship staterooms and can even be hand-carried home on an airplane.
