Port Canaveral, FL, the closest port to Disney World, Universal and other Orlando theme parks, has numerous cruise ships sailing to the Bahamas and the Caribbean every week. Some are among the largest in the Disney, Carnival, Norweigan and Royal Caribbean fleets.

Port Canaveral, which calls itself "Florida's most popular cruise port," is located about an hour's drive east of Orlando, 45 miles from Orlando International Airport, 2 hours from Tampa and 2.5 hours from Jacksonville. The Kennedy Space Center also is located nearby.

For Royal Caribbean International, Port Canaveral is home to some of its largest cruise ships which make make 3- and 4-day runs to Nassau and 7-14 day sailings to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
