7. Cinnamon Bay Self-Guided Trail
Description

Hike Length: 0.5 miles. Time: 30-45 minutes. Difficulty: 1. Trailhead: The trail begins on the right, just a few yards past the Cinnamon Bay campground and on the opposite side of the road. The ruins are easily visible from North Shore Road (Rt. 20).

One of the park's most popular trails, this loop tours the ruins of an old Cinnamon Bay sugar plantation. Park in the campground parking lot.

The well-shaded walk has plenty of signs explaining the parts of the old factory and identifying many of the trees.

At the horse mill, horses once turned the rollers to crush the cane. The huge copper pots held boiling cane juice.

The trail also goes past a number of old Danish graves.
