Moving
through a tall field of sugar cane.
Cane fields cover much of the northern point of St. Kitts and you'll
pass one old sugar mill that's not too distant.
Gazing
over the sugar cane fields you may see long white point that are
called "arrow heads." The presence of these indicate the cane is
ready to be cut.
The
arrow heads were once used to stuff pillows.
