It's a great costume party
Everyone has a blast
The costume detail is amazing
The band competition
And the crowd gets into it
This is what provides so much music?
The costume competition is held on stage
The costumes are fanciful
And they cover all genres
Some even have built-in special effects
Such as this departing smoke screen
J'ouvert morning is rise and shine before dawn
For painting up and getting wild
Some bathe in paint
For others a little dab will do
Meet Mr. Blue who has touch-up paint ready
A dragon prowling J'ouvert morning
But the Parade of Bands is the biggest spectacle
Dozens of bands march across the main stage
Costumes are carefully prepared
And elaborate floats
This band is high above the rest
Everyone poses for pictures
Carnival is a photographer's dream
