Biras Creek Resort, located on a 140-acre hillside peninsula in the North Sound of Virgin Gorda, is accessible only by boat. One of 7 exclusive Relais & Chateaux properties in the Caribbean, Biras can accommodate fewer than 60 guests at a time. Its 20 Ocean Suites are situated along the water while 9 Garden Suites are
located inland. Two Grand Suites and one Premier Suite enjoy the best views,
with panoramic windows and outdoor verandas facing Berchers
Bay. The Walking Trails Time: 1 hour. Difficulty: 2. Mostly steady climbing, constant sun, so take water. Trailhead: Located in the Biras Creek Hotel Resort on North Sound. If you're not a guest, getting permission from the resort first is a fine idea. The trails go through scrub that gradually grows thicker as you ascend. All the while you have an excellent view of North Sound, one of the finest boat anchorages in the British Virgin Islands. From the top, on the Atlantic side, search for land. If you see anything, you have damn good eyesight. The nearest landfall is Africa. Return to Virgin Gorda Homepage Return to British Virgin Islands Homepage
