The Bermuda Big Game Classic

On Bermuda, big game refers only to one thing: fishing. And thanks to the Gulf Stream some real heavy weights cruise the waters here.

The Bermuda Big Game Classic runs for 3 days with the winner based on the team taking the most points during the contest. They along with second and third place are awarded large cash prizes.

The tournament also awards teams for the largest blue marlin and game fish (by weight). Eligible species include blue marlin, white marlin, spearfish, sailfish, tuna, wahoo and dolphin. A release trophy with cash prize is also awarded to the boat releasing the most eligible billfish.

In an effort to increase the odds of a marlin bite, the Classic picks the best moon option between the first and second week in July.
